Theater and music you won’t want to miss…

Published by hawkinsm at 1:19 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

This weekend Broadway Sacramento presents the Phantom of the Opera at the Community Center Theater. Ticket prices start at about $25 per person. From the looks of it though, ticket availability is very limited, which tells us a couple of things: Sacramento has a thriving arts industry, and the show is great! I remember the first time I saw the Phantom of the Opera. It was in San Francisco many years ago, and I was very impressed by the performance. Even though the experience was wonderful, it would have been even better if I could have cut out the traveling, toll fees, and parking prices. I encourage you to attend one of the many performances taking place in the Sacramento area on a continual basis. Check out www.calmt.com for more information about the Phantom of the Opera.

Another exciting event taking place this weekend is the Community Band Festival at Carmichael Park. This is the kick off of the Summer Music Concert Sunday Series, and starts at noon on Saturday. This is a free event, and very family friendly. More details can be found at www.carmichaelpark.com.
