Say Goodbye to the Sacramento Six Drive-In
Next month the Sacramento Six drive in theatres will go dark. For many of us, the drive-in movies was a great place to take a date when we were younger, and a family in later years. I will personally miss the Sacramento Six movies, as I have a lot of fond memories of the place- even the retro looking snack shop.
I have searched and searched and the most accurate information I can find is that the Sacramento Six will close come July, so that leaves a couple of short weeks to make one last trip out there. For show times and prices you will need to call the theater at (916) 363-6572.
Be sure to pack an ice chest full of goodies, and take a blanket and a pillow. Most importantly, enjoy drive in theatre experience. It truly is one of a kind, and I believe it will be a long time before Sacramento sees another drive-in, if ever.

I’ve never been to Sacremento, but it’s sad whenever one of these older, nostalgic theaters has to close. I wish there was a tax on cineplexes and they’d have to give money to smaller independent theaters to keep them alive.
